Movement With a Greater Purpose

Studio Lié is proudly part of Redirect Athletics, a Reno-based nonprofit focused on supporting and empowering youth and teens through athletics, mentorship, and community.

Redirect Athletics was created with the belief that sports and physical activity can be more than exercise. They can provide young people with a positive outlet, meaningful relationships, confidence, discipline, and tools they can carry into everyday life.

SUPPORTING THE WHOLE PERSON

Redirect works with youth to develop physical, social, and emotional skills through individualized fitness, mentorship, and community.

Participants are encouraged to set goals for themselves and work toward them with the support of coaches and mentors. Programming can include fitness, boxing, group activities, mentorship, goal-setting, and discussions focused on topics such as:

Confidence • Focus • Trust • Discipline • Respect • Resilience • Accountability

ATHLETICS AS AN OUTLET

Redirect uses athletics as a healthy outlet for young people to challenge themselves, manage difficult emotions, build confidence, and learn perseverance.

Boxing and fitness aren't about teaching kids to fight. They're about teaching control. Control of movement, reactions, emotions, and responses to challenging situations.

The goal is to help young people learn that they can experience frustration, anger, fear, or difficulty without allowing those emotions to control their actions.

WHY THIS MATTERS TO STUDIO LIÉ

The mission of Redirect Athletics closely aligns with the foundation of Studio Lié.

We believe movement can create connection. It can help us build confidence in our bodies, develop discipline in our minds, and create relationships with the people around us.

Studio Lié focuses on creating an inclusive space where adults and youth can experience movement, connection, and community, while Redirect creates opportunities for young people to receive mentorship, support, and positive outlets through athletics.

Different programs. One shared belief: stronger individuals help create stronger communities.

"Our Mission is to help youth of all ages find a healthy outlet for everyday life through mentoring and athletic training.”
